Salt is the basic human need as it is the basic ingredient of food. Edible salt is also known as table salt or Himalayan salt. The edible salt has the highest percentage of Sodium in it and it is the purest form of the salt.

This salt is also available in blocks that are specially designed for cooking purposes. To do this, these salts being heated at a certain temperature.
2. White Salt
Whit salt is also a from of edible salt and it is widely used as the table salt that you can see on almost every dining table. The uses of the white salt are almost same as of the pink salt.
But, pink salt is purer than white salt that is why pink salt is used on a larger scale as compared to white salt.
3. Black Salt

The other two types of salts are obtained directly from the salt mines, while the black salt is a processed form of salt that is extracted from the pink salt.
The pink salt is less in its salty taste whereas the black salt is saltier and has a different flavor as well. The uses of black salt are the same as white salt and pink salt.
This type of salt is used in food as a condiment and it is widely used in Asian cuisine.
Animal Lick Salt
Animals love to lick salt as you have seen it yourself. The salt which is used for the animals is not a different salt. The same pink Himalayan salt is also used as the animal lick salt.
